A Great Mystery

“You can give without loving, but you can never love without giving.”

Victor Hugo (1802-85)

heart full of Divinely inspired love is like the sacred chalice when it embraces the Body and Blood of Christ. Both are full of blood and sacrifice, and are permeated by Divine Mystery. Such holy things have been consecrated to be given out to those who are unholy, to those who are prepared, and those who have not prepared themselves, to all who will receive them. In every case, the Mystery heals those it enters.

“No man, when he has lighted a lamp, puts it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a lampstand, that they who come in may see the light."
Luke 11:33
